Question about mushrooms

I have read that you can use nylon mesh or netting secured with rubber bands to keep mushrooms held in place and on the rock while they attach. Not ever reading exactly what type or brand of nylon mesh is used I had no clue and would like to know. After going through the hassle of moving my LR and everything to find the errant mushroom polyps that I have puchased and just got blown around no matter how carefully I set them into holes in my LR I used a square of cut up knee- hi pantyhose(Procured from my Step Mothers collection) secured with rubber bands. will this work and is it ok or will it be too restrictive on the mushroom? does it need to be larger more open mesh?

I have recently been propogating shrooms for trade. I usually put cuttings in holes in a small piece of rock. Then I wrap the rock in a filter bag kind of like a loose burrito. After about a week I can remove the bag. I don't see why nylons wouldn't work as long as they are not plastered on.

Proud, go to walmart and back in the craft section you can get a 300 foot roll of bridal veil material, it's like 6" wide, and it costs a little over one dollar, this is enough for about 600+ mushrooms

I use the bridal veil for securing almost all soft corals. The method you have used will work fine. It should be secured loosely so that the mushroom doesn't attach to the netting.
