Post Pics of 5 gal and under nano tanks

I'm going to start a either a 5 gal or a 2 gal mini bow and would love to see some pics of others to get some ideas from the simplist setups that work, to the most complex.

Thanks!

These are pictures of my 1 gal nano. It has exactly 3 cups of sand, the two rocks you see and 1 gal of water. So far, the mushrooms, polyps, leather and sps...yea, sps, are thriving. It contains a clean-up crew of 1 snail and 2 little hermit crabs. I do a 6 cup water change every couple of weeks. The bulbs are (2) 6500k screw in PC bulbs from the local grocery store. Lights for $10, you have to love nanos! My thread is in the contest section under "Steve's 1 gal nano".

Thanks for the kind words!

I've had water in it since 10-31-05. If you check my thread under the Nano Competition (Steve's 1 gal nano), you'll see that this took very little work and better yet, was dirt cheap!

I have two little "Deco Art Nano Filters" I picked up for about $8 each hanging on the back and one side simply to move water. There is no media in them. In fact, check my other thread and see how one is being used as a "heater". Basically, I have stocked it slowly and do a 6 - 8 cup water change every couple of weeks.

I avoided a sump in hopes of keeping my water quantity low for a better chance in the competition, but I am a firm beleaver in sumps for any kind of tank. If I were to do it over again, I would drill it and add a 3-5 gal sump.

I may remove the softies and stick with SPS due to some chemical warfare happening now that has led to me putting some carbon in the second nano filter. Adding a coral and doing a water change was enough to make something in the tank upset!

Later,

Steve

Well, i did it...

Here's my 2.5 mini bow. Its one day young, so no corals yet, but i'll be getting some soon. I used fully cured rock and sand, so I should be good to go.... I hope...
I still need to put a background on to hide the equipment. I picked up a very tiny HOB filter thats rated at 70 gph, is that enough flow for a tank this size or should i get a little power head?

Thanks for looking.
