I added some button polyps a few weeks ago and I think they were open within an hour or so... they get cranky if my hand is near them in the tank, but open back up after 5 - 10 minutes. ....though I wouldn't worry too much if it takes them longer... even a day. Especially if the new LR needs to do a tiny cycle or something (I assume it was cured).

i agree. my girl is mad because i got rid of them. crazy girl
my clown is fine and my polyp is also doing great. i keep my mini powerhead on and i think it is too much for the clown because he hides until i feed him then he will return to the rocks. will he be fine.

thanks.

If you just recently added the clown then I'd say it's just adjusting... might take a few days for it to realize it has full rein.

Don't worry about the power head --- Most Clowns like to play in the flow of a power head. Might take him awhile to get used to the tank and start comming out.
