over heat

i set my 24 gal aqua pod up friday night and transfered every thing yesterday morning . all went well and i got a pretty good store credit for all my live stock that i wasnt keeping . only a few hours after i set every thing up all looked great . today i noticed things didnt look so "hot" well it turned out that was my problem . my tank was at 85 degrees and i dont know why. has anyone else had this problem with their closed top aqua pods , nano cubes, or bio cubes. my system is the 64 watt pc's and the fan is working fine . i unplugged my heater which is my"stealth" heater from my 65 gal. which was set for 75 degrees may its to big but its what i have for now. someone please tell me that this is not a common problem with these systems .

well ill have to see . i didnt float ice or do any thing to cool the tank off i figured the heat gain was enough of a temp swing. so tomorrow well see what happens . i hope its the heater and not the tank . does anyone know if the other port on the left side of the hood for the 24gal. aqua pod 64watt model can be removed and a fan added ? could it also be the pumps i added to the tank that are giving off that kind of heat in a small tank ? i added a maxi jet 1200 and a maxi jet 900

Because the systems are closed, they do keep the heat in. I've seen a lot of people keeping the hoods up to release it. Also, they run fans across the top when possible. I think it kind of ruins the look, so I just use one pump, (a 900). I had to take out the 1200 to reduce the temp.
