New to Nano

Hi all,
I am new to the reef aquarium & nano world of marine life, but hopefully not for long! I have a 29-Gallon tank with a Yellow Tang, 2 Clown Fish, Strawberry pseudochromis, skunk cleaner shrimp, and some turbos & hermit crabs that is at my fiancé’s place.
I am looking for something small to keep at my place and I have always wanted to try out a reef tank. BUT I have a couple of questions…

1. I know someone that is selling a Marineland Eclipse 12 (http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...+113565) combo brand new at a really good price. What all would I have to change in order to make this tank “reef-ready” (probably the lighting)? or should I just go with something like the Nano-Cube…

2. There might be a few days where I cannot attend to the tank, is this okay or is there maintenance required everyday (remember I have a fish only set-up as of now).

3. How do you guys pick out the live rock and stuff to make it look so good????

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Well that particular tank is gone now .... I could not get a reply on any forums I posted, but I did some searching and I am not sure if it would have been a good idea anyway...

It looks like I will not be getting introduced to the reef/nano world after all....

Why don't you pick up a new 10gal tank for 9 bucks at walwart? The marineland and nano cubes are just so overpriced i can't bring myself to buy one when you can have a great 10gal for a fraction of the cost.
