Thank you . I chose the calcite because I wanted black, and it was $7 for 22lbs.
Here is a couple more shots ...

Looking very nice, and it appears that you have a great drip acclimation system going.

Thank you ... and yeah, although its a PITA I do always drip acclimate inverts as they are rather sensitive. I do not do this with coral & certain fish though. Also, as this tank was heavily stocked in a matter of 2 weeks, I want all the livestock in top shape as this is hard on the tank. I just pulled through the first cyano outbreak and it seems to be clearing up now

Nice looking reef. I've got the exact same set-up, minus one of the Hydor's. Here's my problem; the massive, and smelly, greenish brown oil slick on top. Any suggestions? I've had this tank running since March w/ minimal occupants: 30 lbs. live sand (I like a deep bed), 25 lbs. LR, 15 Red & Blue leg hermits, 1 Sally Lightfoot, 1 Pygmy Angel. Before I go for completely stocked I need to do away with the oil slick but how. I never had this problem w/ 55G reef I took down. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
