Just a quick update.

The corals are looking great, the Xenia has spread out and attached itself to the rock it was glued to and the Zoa's are all open and looking good. Mr Blenny is doing great. He's eating and his belly has gotten a bit fuller. He was a little skinny when we got him so I was happy to see him picking at the rocks right away. He's not shy and likes to sit out in the open and show off his pretty colors.

He seems to be doing a good job on the hair algae so far and we have some coraline starting to grow on the back wall! I tested everything again last night and all is well so hopefully it keeps going that way.

Another quick update. We got some Zoa's and Ric's along with a few Onyx Nessarius snails from Blue Zoo last week. I work across the street form them and was able to pick them up on will call so that was nice. We also grabbed a Small Hammer frag and 2 other rics 2 weeks ago from a local store called Eye Candy Aquariums. We did lose our fire shrimp but I tested everything and the tank seems fine. He had been in for about a month so I'm not sure what the problem may have been.

We went out yesterday and got a new shrimp as well as a True Percula Clown. It was actually a pain to find a small non mated True Perc. We did go to a store called Coral Oasis that had 8 or 9 mated pairs and a few picasso's. I'll try and get some decent pics when I get home to show how things are coming along!

So as promised here are a bunch of pics of the new additions as well as the stuff that was already in the tank. Also some pics showing more of the tank so you can see how the hair algae is coming. The back wall is clear of it and only the short stuff remains on a few of the rocks. It's a slow battle but we are winning so that is good. It's just annoying to look at but I am confident we can beat it without any chemicals or having to take out the rocks and manually clean them. I have been tearing off longer strands but that stopped a while back.

Few more recent pics, some crappy some not too bad haha. Obviously we are still dealing with some hair algae but everything seems happy and the corals all seem to be doing well.

Oh and I made the mistake of moving all of these pics to a dedicated album in photobucket thus making all the old links invalid. My apologies. If I have time later I'll redo them.

We had an unfortunate casualty yesterday. Our little Perc clown decided to see what was on the other side of the back wall and ended up in the pump suction. It happened sometime during the night. I woke up and went to check on the tank and he was nowhere to be found in the display so I popped the lid and grabbed a flashlight. Sure enough there he was . Looks like I need to cover that area or something to keep it safe in the future.

How about some updated pics? We have had a few new additions so I thought I would throw up a few new pics. We got a new clown to replace the suicide victim as well as a few new corals. We have an open brain now and just yesterday I got a frag of Duncan from Allen over at Eye Candy. We've been shopping there almost exclusively now. I still go to some other LFS and see what they have but his stuff is always in great condition, he has no problem fragging something for you or finding you whatever you are interested in so we like his store =) There are some flatworms in the tank and some sort of Nudi but we're working on fixing those issues. All of the hair algae is gone and everything is going well other than the worms and Nudi that I think is munching on Zoa's. He's so small though it's hard to tell.
