You set it up on the 4th and you are already adding to it? What happened to your cycle?

i know i know
but several years ago i did the same thing, well actually the hermits were on the rock hitchhiking, and they made it through the cycle fine and lived a few years (moved tank got tore down)
its not like they had it so great in the petstore, bare tank all piled up on top of each other and i really doubt they were fed. they are grazing non stop now

i suggest adding calcium, now, and iodine once you get animals (once a week). use a syringe to measure out the exact amount that you need. i use the syringe for my kent nano a and b, and it works great. any fish in the plans? damsels are the cheapest that will test the water for you, once you get your cycling all done. planning on a skimmer? i don't have one, but i have an all-enclosed tank and can't hang one - it will help keep your parameters in order. one major suggestion... patience. good luck and keep us posted on the progress.
welcome!! nice to have you aboard!!

yes i have the nano a+b by kent and ive added it twice allready
i plan on a pair of clowns but not for awhile, maybe in 2 months.
then i plan on corals when the tank ages some
an eye dropper is a good idea since im having trouble with dosing, it comes out so fast its hard to count the drops lol

Welcome to TRT! Yes the skilter does better if you put a airstone in it instead of the way it comes and it will be quiter too!Nice looking tank!

If it were me i would not go near iodide or iodine in such a small tank. Has the possibility for bad outcomes. Plus if your on city water, everytime you do a water change is supposedly replenishing your iodide and stuff thus overdosing it if you add it. Im not sure if this theory has been tested but i have never used any of it and had great outcomes.

I wouldn't add anything, unless my test kit indicates the need for it.
With the minimal occupants you have in there, weekly water changes will replenish what has been used, as well as the remove the waste in the water.
