Nano Tank

I was looking to buy a small tank for my counter, I have picked the Picotope 3 Gallon Aquarium Kit, thought i would only spend about 10 bucks on a small bag of LS and then i have extra LR and then make it a softie tank, would it be big enough to have softies?

yes, I have seen some softies in aquariums that small. Just look for especially sturdy aquacultured shrooms, zoas etc. to deal with the natural instability of that small of a tank. what kind of light filter does that come with? I view any tank under 5 gallons as a pico tank but thats just semantics and I don't see many others use the pico terminology so that may just be me.

With everything stock, I would just keep mushrooms and zoas. A few inverts are ok too.

I ended up upgrading my light to a current dual satellite and upgraded the filtration to an AC70 modded fuge.

I am keeping mostly softies but I have 1 montipora that is doing extremely well with the new light and filtration. I'll post pics when my post number is up higher and I'm able.
