Nano Reef HELppppppppp!

hi, i am going to the LFS soon to pick up a baby clown fish, 5lbs of live rock and RO water with salt.

I am going barebottom, I was wondering if I could put the clown fish in the 5 gallon tank I have without waiting for the cycle? I was thinking since its only 5 gallons, the LFS will give enough water in the bag with the LR for me to pure into the tank.

Thanks!

I wouldn't do that, I would wait to cycle...
Additionally, speaking from bad experience, wait a while before adding any fish so that the tank settles down. basically wait as long as you can handle before adding a fish, from my experience. It will help with algae problems and such

I agree --- if you add a fish along with uncycled LR you are causing that fish to go through way to much stress. Why the hurry on the fish. I would say add the LR --- let it cycle --- add cleanup crew --- add corals --- and very last of all add a fish.
