Nano Presentation/door prize

This past tuesday the Atlanta Reef Club had it's Minibow 7 setup presentation and then we gave the complete system away to one lucky member as a door prize. I don't have the official count but I estimate there was approx 60 people at this meeting. Many of the newer members were taking notes the entire time. This meeting was a huge success and just shows what a reef club can do for fellow hobbyist.

Check out the link below and then download the slide show in that threads first post. It's a little over 3 meg so it should only take a few min to download on a resonable connection. I think you all will like this especially since it's a MB7

Charles, did anyone ever post the equipment list for this tank? I know the package was from aquabuys, but I also remember that you substituted some things. This was one of the more memorable ARC meetings.

What we substituted was an AC 150 instead of the AC Mini and then also had him add a surface skimmer. SO the total equipment list (from my memory) is:

MB 7 tank
CSL 32watt retro kit
AC 150 filter
AC surface skimmer
Tronic 50watt heater
Digital temp
MiniJet Power head
25 gal Instant Ocean
Red Sea Master Marine TEst Kit
Red Sea Calcium Pro test kit

ARC also furnished (from our sponsors):

Arag-Alive Sand
Cured LR
Cleanup Crew
A few corals
2 x 5gal buckets w/ Lids
Timer power strip

And lastly I bought some spray paint and painted the back for a background.

I think that covers everything. Chris (who won all this) wasn't planning on comming to the meeting but had a few frags he wanted to give away for free so in the end he showed up.

I am glad everyone had a good time at this meeting. It was fun doing the presentation. But hey anytime there is a crowd and you give me the floor I'm having a good time.

Thanks for the rundown Charles. For anyone on the edge of starting a nano, this seemed to be a real nice setup.

Ever since, I've sort of had my eye on a MB7

Yep - the setup is awesome! I'm finally set to move some softies out of my big tank to the nano.

Had a few mishaps, hence the delay in moving stuff, but it's really neat! I still can't get over how lucky I was. :-)

We actually got everything from an ebay store called "aquabuys".

They had a complete package deal that contailed everything for one low price. THis was a very successfull meeting and could also double as a membership drive.
