Nano or Marineland?

Looking to start a either a Nano Cube 12 or 24 or a Marineland 12 gal...I'm a beginner at saltwater and could use the feedback? Anyone? Thanks, have a great week!

I would go with the JBJ Nano Cube, it is really a good starter. The first thing I would do if you decide to go this route is remove the creamatic rings that come with it and one of your sponges, the sponges with spike up your nitrates. and replace the media with new activated carbon.

The good rule of thumb on these cubes is to do a one gallon water change a week. Make sure you have at least around 8 to 10 pounds of live rock and you might want to go bare back or crushed coral on the bottom. Go with only softies and I would say no to a fish. I hope this helped you out some and good luck. I forgot to say one more thing, make sure you read up....

I have seen the Marineland nano's as well and wanted to see how they compared to the JBJ nano cubes. I too would be interested in any info as well.

From the subject line I thought this was about someone trying to decide between a nano tank and a megatank!
