Nano Cube?

I am getting a JBJ 24G Dx Nano Cube that I am setting up to be my first reef tank. I was wondering if anybody has some specific info or heads up on this tank? Is the 72 watts of compact Floresent lighting enough for Anenomes and other inverts\corals? the math comes out to 3 compact floresent watts per gallon. Is the water flow in this tank suffcient? Should I put a protien skimmer on this size tank? Any other info for this tank would be greatly apprciated, Thanks - Jason - jason@storter.com
PS - If anybody is from Alaska or knows of any groups in Alaska please let me know I would love to find some reef hobbyist in my area.

I have a Nano Cube I bought a month and a half ago. I have pumping xenias in it and two snails and a blue leg hermit. So far everything is going ok. The xenias feed by photosynthesis and they seem to be doing just fine with the lighting. So, I would say the lighting is fine (maybe, though, depends on the type of coral too.) I am just learning about coral, so maybe some one can give more info on this. Maybe someone will give you more info. Glad to hear there is a "reef" in Alaska!

Yes, you should put a protein skimmer on this tank, you will not regret it. From what you have written I would say that your lighting is a little low; under that you could have most softies, maybe lps, no clams, no anems. Look at a 96watt quad pc, or if your tank can accomidate a 24" lighting fixture, look at 65/55watt pc's.
