If you are using the same rock and everything you had in your 10 gallon tank, then you may not experience a cycle. It all depends on if the rock was out of water and for how long. Now, if you begin adding more rock to it you will most likely cause mini cycles along the way.

Thanks!!
Thanks everyone for all the tips and help. I had time to put all my LR, fishes an corals in buckets with the water from the broken tank. The leak was not bad and i lost maybe 20% of the water. I was able to setup the new tank within a hour and put everything back on the new tank. I'm using real sea water and live sand.
Everyone is doing very well so far and I'm testing my water every two days. I thought of asking my LFS to host my stock while the new tank cycle but I don't trust them watching my live stock (they have too much "causalities" on their tanks).
Again ... thank you all for your help. I'll post pics of the new tank as soon I'm finish with the new acquascape.

Hey Dragonist,
Something similar happened with me too. I was at the Petco store and I saw this small piece of LR with some zoas attached to it. The guy at the store sold me the whole piece for 10 bucks. I tried to be honest and asked him about the coral attached and he said that "he couldn't take them off because they were "glued" to the LR" ... LOL.

You only need one more post before you can post links and pictures, so don't wait too long and make us break out the squirrel.

Corals
Here are more pics of my set of corals. I love they way they add color to the tank.
Her is the right side o the reef
Here is the left.
Now I just need to build the center of the reef with more LR (they're are curing at my LFS). I'm waiting to see if the thank will cycle because of the new setup. So far water levels are good.

That looks good. You have a nice selection of corals that will appreciate the extra room in the new tank.

Good day everyone.
I'm looking for suggestions on a skimmer for my tank. I don't have a sump so it has to be one of those "hang on" types. Does anyone know a good one for a good price?
Thanks!

Just wondering but do you have a heater? It wasn't in your stock list and I didnt see it in any pictures.
Nice aquascaping.
And in regards to a skimmer, you can either get a skimmer or get an RO/DI filter and make your own water. For nanos, it is easy to just do a 10-15% water change every week and a larger one (like 30%) once a month.
I just got a Tunze nano skimmer 9002. It's intank/in sump use. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hi Lance
No I don't have a heater yet I live in a small apt with temp control aways on 75. I'm planning to by one for the winter but I have to decide if I'll build a sump so I can pick the right heater. Let me know how your skimmer turns out.

you may want to rethink the heater thing. i was gonna get one and then i read this thread: http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f6...on-133872.html
i decided to wait and see if my temp swings are bad enough to warrant the purchase.

Scary!!
I'm still thinking of it. I'll definitely consider a controller. I live in CT and winter is pretty bad here so I'll see how things will go before add any heating system.
Thanks for the heads up!

I finally bought a skimmer, It's a red sea prism. I liked it because of its size and I've read good reviews. I had a remora in my hands at the store but the fact that the pump goes inside the tank really did not attract me at all. The skimmer is working very well and after a couple of fine tweaks it is foaming like a rabies dog .
One thing though I've started to get a film algae on my front glass. I have to clean that stuff twice a day at least. My water parameters are not the best right now, I'm on the 3rd week of my new cycle (after the accident). Ammonia is at 0.01 and nitrites are 0.2. I did a 30% WC and 10% every two days. Any suggestions??
Thanks

no problem, a just a little perspective on the issue .
i decided not to use a heater, but i waited to see how bad the swings actually were, and they are'nt terrible.
glad i could help, unfortunately at the cost of aquawolf
