my nano tank

ok i used to have an viaaqua 12 gallon tank but ive discovered that tank really limits you to what you can have w/ the light provided and width of the tank. about 5 month ago i moved everything over into a standard 10g. i'm using the csl 20" 80w pc, 15 lbs of hawaiian lr and some pieces of tonga branch, 10lbs of ls. the tank currently has: 1 yellow clown goby, 2 cleaner shrimp, a bunch of different kinds of snails, 2 emerald crabs, 10 blue hermits, 2 red hermits, 1 queen fighting conch, calerupa (however your spell it), bubble coral, leather umbrella, hammer, frogspawn, 1 small maxima clam (black blue variety) i think thats the kind he is, pink zoos, zoos w/ gold and orange, gsps, pale pink/green clavia, 4 color ricordia, 1 pink/peach w/ blue edges ricordia, lime green yuma, hot pink yuma, brown xenia (which i dont like and dont know why i got it) i prefer the pink red sea variety, green stripped shroom, purple/blue shroom, xmas colored shroom (very cool btw), green/blue feather duster, rustcolored shroom, alveopora. needless to say i had a pair of clowns in there at one point but they were not very happy but that was when i used the viaaqua. both died . a few months later i had a g/s maroon who was very happy but decided to pull a nemo and went head first into the pump over the weekend. im gonna try another clown later but first i want to get more corals. i havent dared try the sps variety yet. currently my wish list includes a blastomussa, a torch, yellow leather, green finger, purple bullseyes, and other varieties of ricordia and feather dusters. i have a feeling im gonna need to upsize the tank. as for additional equipment there is a red sea hang on the back nano filter, marineland 800 pump for water movement, and a 25 w heater. i change the water once a week, add tech cb a&b daily and feed the tank 3 times a week. ive recently changed from tech cb over to bionic and its still to early to see the difference in product. btw i apologize for the pics, they were taken w/ my camera phone

Coming along really nice, I think it looks good. I also think that maroons are probably not the best choice for a 10g, especially one so full of rock/corals. I think a percula is probably the only clown you should try - if you try again.

good luck with it,
bb
