My glass is all scratched!

So I learned the hard way that when I clean my 24 gal nano with one of those magnetic cleaners, make sure there is no sand stuck on the inside piece! Now my nano is all scratched and it is driving me CRAZY!!! Is there anything to be done? If not, my fish store guy has a floor model 29 gal oceanic biocube on sale for 279.00. Is that a good deal?

Is your tank glass or acrylic? If it's glass, you're out of luck. If it's acrylic, you can buff out the scratches if they aren't too deep. They sell kits to do that.

Polishing glass is a PITA.....if you have only one or two tiny scratches and can't really feel but can see them you may be able to get them out.

However, usually when you can feel them with your nail...they are to deep to get out!

I just saw there note in the add as well

To remove scratches that you cannot feel with your fingernail, mark them on the inside of the glass with a crayon or a piece of tape. (Deeper scratches may not be possible to completely remove.)
