I would agree with the 29 Biocube for the amount of money you are willing to spend.

It is good to hear about you and your son sharing the hobby this early on as well.

You do not know how enlighting this thread is.... me and my daughter and my son have done many things together.....Anyways my son was 7 years old 18 years ago and my daughter was 7 years old 23 years ago....my point really is in my mind that was only yesterday,,,,today different story...we are close, just pointing out that they really do grow up faster than the speed of light!!!...I miss these types of projects with my kids....So If they want a nano or a 150 gallon tank....take the time to share teach and enjoy!

Thanks for all the input. Since my last post, the wife nix'd the $400 budget. However, he & I went to the LFS and they just happened to have a 12g aquapod.... That was 2 weeks ago. Thus far, he has a few yellow polyps, a cleaner shrimp, & a paired shrimp goby and pistol shrimp. He also has a lawnmower blenny in the QT. I know it's small, but aleast he has his "own tank". I told him he can only have two fish in that little tank & he's ok with that.

Great!!! Like I posted enjoy the time you spend together on this hobby...it goes fast...post some pics I think he may be excited about the rave reviews he will get here...
