Maxi-Jet Question

Has anybody ever used a Maxi-jet externally? it says it can be, but i have had iffy luck on PH's not leaking when run externally.

I ran a MJ400 for a little over 6mo externaly never had a prob with it hell I never even touched it the whole time it was running...LOL...

thanks, did you have problems finding tubing to fit the inlet/outlet?

no, no prob getting tubing to fit. If I remember RIGHT it was 3/4" for the inlet and 1/2" or 5/8" (sorry can't remember which one but I think it's 1/2) and I also believe that most/all teh MJ's are the same input and output....but like I said sometimes my memory is'nt all that great , I'd recomend you measure for yourslef...LOL

i planned on it, but i just wanted to make sure that were able to just hit the local Home Destruction store and find a tube that fit. i was bit once by a Via Aqua pump, could not find a tube to fit it nomatter where i went, must have been some odd metric size.
