Mantis Tank up & Running....

I just purchased my mantis for my mantis-reef (a 3 gallon eclipse modified to fit a 10watt PC 50/50 bulb and an aquaclear 200) I hope this tank will be successful! I hope to basically have the mantis with some shrooms (I have one hairy mushroom right now) and some other easy softies. I just wanted to give you guys an update. The mantis is about 1.5" long, and he has stayed hidden all day...I'm not expecting much, except maybe tomorrow he'll come out to eat.

a 3 gallon will be enough for x amount of time but when he hits 2.5 inches he can crack the thin acrilick mine is 2 ~ 3 inches and he puts big dents in my eclips hex 5 but he is really cool.
here is a thread of some picks etc http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/sh...threadid=34201

he came out for food yesterday...only for a brief moment to catch a mysis shrimp, then he realized I was there feeding, and he went back under a whelk shell...at least I know he's alive in there!

of course...I realize it will be incredibly hard to get a picture of him...he's pretty reclusive, but I'll try!

I've got a 50/50 ten watt PC screw in, but I used flash. There isn't enough light for the pictures unless I use flash.
