Lighting for a 10Gallon

I'm about to setup my first 10gallon, i was gonna go 2.5 but decided to try 10. Who makes quality light setups? I was probably gonna go with a dual 65w hood with a 10K and an arctic blue. I really have no idea what to use, can you guys provide links or suggestions? I'm gonna set the tank up tonight so the sooner i can order the lighting the better. thanks

John

That's exactly what I'm using on my 10 gallon...I have the 2X65W Coralife fixture. It's only 112 bucks here: http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewIt...roduct=ES53102

just an FYI a 10gallon is only 20inches so both of those lights would overhang the tank.

I have bought from this site 3 times and everytime has been to my door in under a week without any problems.

I have a Current USA Sunpod on my 10 aga its 70w metal halide. It has Blue and white LEDs. I really like this fixture and I keep LPS/SPS under it.

The metal halide is more intense and penetrates the water better. The color is is also better with a 14k bulb than the 50/50 in the 96w and you have more bulb options. Also no shimmer lines with PC. Thats why I went with Metal Halide.

would 150W metal halide be overkill for a 10G, its only 20 more than the 70W. I might upgrade to one of those in a while.

Coral: Quad tube light

Does anyone know if there are actinic quald bulbs (square bin base) that can fit the Coralife Aqualight fixture?

I think it depends on what you want to keep. I bough a 20" 2x36w PC from a place called Catalina Aquarium. I think it was $75 and it arrived within 4 days. http://www.catalinaaquarium.com/prod...oducts_id=1194
