I am a newbie and was wondering if any 1 could help

I have a 40 litre tank (think its just under 9g)
and i want to keep some softies what type of lighting would i need i was thinking maby 30-35w PC
i dont no
i'm just a newb

Not sure the shape or size of the tank but a lot of people use a 32 watt 50/50 PC retro kit over tanks of similar gallonage. These can be purchased at almost all of the larger mail-order houses.

you shold be ok with that ammount of lighting. rics, shroms and zoos should do fine,but if you can get more watts that would be good also.
