i need more algae

since i got benny the blenny he has totally devoured the algae on the glass so now theres nothing left. he wont eat flakes or the algae wafer, so now what? how do i grow more algae? can i leave the lights on for 14 hours or will the corals suffer and bleach out?
i dont want my lil benny to starve
he did eat alot cuz i saw him go poopy and brother what a mess

What kind of blenny?

Unfortunately this is a little known problem with a few of the species.

oh im sorry i forgot to mention what kind he is, hes a lawnmower blenny
i fouled my tank trying to feed him, i really dont think he will accept any prepared foods.
how much algae has to be present in the tank for him to survive? i can keep a nice coating of green algae on the glass daily but its not thick or hair algae its just the basic green glass kind, will this be enough?

patience pastina... he'll eat from the clip when he's ready to. he was eating from a clip when you bought him right? mine wasn't too thrilled with the veggie that i chose for him, since it probably wasn't the same that they had at the store, but he came around to eating it.

i did learn one thing... not to put the clip too low. the other critters like to pick at it too.

p.s. have you noticed that i'm your biggest fan? giggle

lol omg he goes like crazy lol
i cant believe all that from this little fish. i saw him bite the skeleton on the frogspawn, good i hope he eats it, thats one way to get rid of it lol
the man at the store said he was eating flakes and frozen foods, i didnt ask what brand. i have some frozen mysis maybe he will eat that.
hes a commical little character, when he sees me he does this threatening dance and attacks the glass like he wants to kill me lol...maybe i look like a giant blenny?? hehe
that algae thingy that goes on the vegi clip, does it make the tank messy? or does it pretty much stay whole?
i wonder what would happen if i show him a mirror?? lol im just kidding

Just put a small amount on the clip until you can judge how much he eats in a day. Veggie sheets or noria do fall apart into kind of a slimy mess by the end of a day.
