i know he wont survive on it. its funny how he wont eat the snails when it falls only the fishes.
he ate flakes today im so happy. but his belly is very fat and thats just from algae so i know hes getting enough to eat.
ive been leaving the lights on for 14 hours to produce alot of algae on the glass and this has fattened him up tremendously.
tons of algae, a flake here and there, and some fish poop, this should keep him going ...i hope lol

yeah i thought it was weird, usually they all spit it out but not this guy he devours it.
my dog eats the poop out of the cats litter box so guess animals are just pigs lol
but this is the first time ive ever had a fish eat this before, saltwater or fresh

Well, I suppose that's one way to keep the tank clean.... I wonder if my algae blenny will do that with my Puffer?

Well, 'Poop Person' (pastina) ... I sure wish that my blenny would of eaten some poop. I found him lying on the bed of my tank when I got home from work tonight. Sad... he was so cool! I'm such a bad sw mom. I may just have to give this hobby up. My tank isn't looking so good and I think it is all crashing. Too bad Spot, my lawnmower blenny, didn't eat poop and everything else like yours does. RIP Spot.

omg hes dead?? oh how awefull im so sorry to hear that
do more water changes and add fresh carbon. if it does crash you can recover it with bi weekly water changes and replace any lost corals or fish once things balance out again.
ive learned to not get so attached to saltwater beings, i now look on the bright side, if it crashes or anything dies it gives me a reason to go coral/fish shopping
the place where i got my blenny is a small reef buisness running out of the mans basement with his son. the son told me the blenny will eat flakes or anything he throws in the tank. so i was lucky to find a flake eating (and poop eating) blenny
it could have just been his number was up. sometimes critters dont live long or have some parasite in them that we dont know about.
i noticed a few white specs on my clowns, im totally freaking out!
cheer up petunia, and remember its an excuse to go shopping!
