Saltwater is very different than freshwater and in SW you will find that running a small tank is much harder than running a large tank.

Corals need pristine water and excellent lighting. Pristine water generally means a mature tank with good filtration and a protein skimmer. You are many months away from a stable mature tank so I would hold off on the corals

Here is a link that may help

Good luck.

I would not use the phos-zorb unless you have a known phosphate problem.

As for the lighting what wattage of PC are you getting. 1 x 32watt, 2 x 32 watt, 1 x 65 watt ect................ most people like the 96watt power quad over a 10 gal. That would give you the most possible light in the easiest configuration.

Thanks after looking at the 96 watt power quad I think I am going with that...but how long should I have it on? Also how often should I test phosphate and pH level? Also I do not have a protien skimmer I was told I didnt need one for a 10 gal but I will when I do my 40 gal is this tru?

I would leave the lights on for 10 - 12 hours.

You do not need a protein skimmer for a 10 gal. Weekly 1 gal water changes should be fine.

Many of us use a 100ml pouch of "Purigen" by SeaChem. It's a synthetic carbon that is suppose to work like a skimmer and is totally regenerable. You would put that right in the HOB filter.

Also for $10 you can get a surface skimmer that attaches to the HOB filter and keeps the water surface free of any residual scum. Hagen makes one for the Aqua Clear line of HOB filters that can easily be adapted to any number of tother filters. It even comes with 2 different size adapters.
