Okay. And that'll make sure most of my coral gets at least SOME light, right?

Also, I was told on another forum to not wrap the bulb as well. Could I get some sort of heavy stock paper and put it on the outside of the fixture to cut down on the amount of light that reaches the tank? It shouldn't heat up the fixture, right? And since it wouldn't reflect the light the way the foil would it shouldn't be an issue to keep it cool, right?

150MH on a 29? Yeah, they will get plenty of light. I wouldn't block it until it was actually set up and see how it does. Any possibility of raising the light up? You can raise it up and cut down on how much penetration you get.

On the planted one? Not really. It's a regular fixture and other than legs, which will only give me another 4" of height, there's really not any other way to hang it. I guess I will just do that. And hope I don't get massive amounts of algae before I can do anything else <_<

Oooh, and with the reef tank, is there any way that I could put the rockwork in the 29 that will be empty soon without the light over it(just the 65 pc that is on the 10 gallon anyway) without it being full all the way(like just use powerheads) to see if I can find the source of my caulerpa and pluck it easier, or would that be a pita to maintain? It's still likely to be a year at least before I can get the lights, let alone the plumbing set up(though I could probably work on the plumbing before I get the halide. . .) and the extra rock. If it would be possible(to spread the rocks out) how high would I want the water?
