heater?


what should I get for a 12 gallon tank a 25 watt or 50 watt? will I boil my fish with a 50 watt? Thanks, Jason

I would say 100 watt actually, you won't boil your fish, but it will heat the water up faster and keep it more stable. I have a 100 watt in my 20l and it's on almost constantly.

If there is a huge difference on size then go with the 50 watt. I generalize about 10 watts/gallon, I know its overkill but the prices don't change all that bad between wattages.

you can get a 100 W for $2 more than the 50 W....definitely the way to go.

100 watts is a good size to go with, just make sure you get a good quality heater that will not fail on you. temperature shifts in a tank that size can happen rapidly. stick with a good brand, don't skimp to save a few bucks.
