Hairy algae

I need some help. I have a 24-gal aquapod with a 150 watt 14k mh light on it running 6 hours per day. I have 2 fish, several softies, and zoas. It appears that a green, hairy algae is starting to grow profusely throughout the tank.
Can someone explain what's going on, and what I can do about it, if anything?

ericgreg Little Fishy Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 189	the fish get mostly pellets 2x per week. I also feed the tank cyclopeez and phytoplankton 1x per week. I don't have a skimmer because my lfs told me it would be harmful to some of my corals, expecially zoas.
