Float Switch Workshop for Nano SIG March meeting

This past weekend we had a really nice lunch meeting for the Nano SIG. Although not many people were in attandance the ones who showed proved to be excellant company and many brought some printouts to look over.

Sammy has volunteered to get together a float switch workshop for the March meeting. This will be a small float switch with a snail gaurd and mounting hardware that will be wired into a small extension cord. This will allow people to use either a power head for evaporation make-up water or use an air pump driven method. We felt this would give the most flexibility for the members.

The float switch workshop meeting should be Sunday, March 28th at 12:00 noon with the location to be determined at a latter date.

Sammy will keep us informed over the next few weeks as he makes progress on the prototype and then collects orders for those who want one.

Great meeting I loved Cappuchino bay too.

I ended up sneaking back on Sunday to get those ricordias. Boy did they expand and brighten up in the nano. I hope to have a pic or two on here soon. I can't get over their CLAMS>......Have to be the best choice clams in Atlanta.

I'd like to suggest that we advertise this on the main forum as well. It seems like this kind of project could benefit more than just the nano crowd.

That might not be a bad idea. We will wait to see what Sammy comes up with and then we'll go from there.

Not a problem Krux. I talked with Sammy yesterday and he is about to post something any day now. Once it's all figured out I'm sure we can get him to post a parts list, vendor list and schmatic ect.....

Float Switch / Auto Top-off update

I finished the prototype auto top-off system this past weekend. I have a couple of things I need to work out and will then post a new thread with all the juicy details.

I updated the float switch thread. I have included a complete parts list and fairly good instructions on putting things together.

Here's the link.
