First NANO 12GAL tank - Need help please.

My new 12GL NANO tank

Very New to salt water tank. There is still lots of things to learn.
Just set up running. Hope it will turn out nice.

What will be next? Do you think my set up ok? Should I change anything? How about the heater? How to test water? How do I know if the water is ok to put corals / fish ..?

I have little problem in English - so please help me to write out the whole word.
All procedure helps, suggestion, comments are appreciated.




My tank feature:
* Live Sand, Live Rock 13lbs, Premix salt water ($1/gal local store)
* 12Gal Aquapod
* 1-27W Dual Sunpaq Daylight 6700k/10000k (Current USA brand)
* 1-27W Dual Sunpad Actinic 420nm/460nm (Current USA brand)
* CMF Cooling fan
* Built-in Nocturnal Blue Lunar lights
* Rear Overflow Filter system
* Pump
* Ceramic Rings, Biolballs, Activated Carbon.

Welcome to TRT! Your tank looks very nice. You may not need a heater if the tank stays pretty much the same whether the lights are on or off I don't use a heater in my 24g nano cube but need to in the 5.5g and the 95g.

Was the live rock you purchased "cured" or "uncured" ?

I think I will need to buy the temperature to measure the tank. I don't know if the temp changes or not. I feel the water and its little cool. Think I will buy it but not sure which is right and small for this tank.

I bought live sand (from the tank at my local fish store). Just cured live rock and has been running for a couple days.

I heard we can put dimsel (not sure spelling) during this cycle but worry can't take them out after. I think I will just buy 1 pair of small clown fish .. what you think?

I wouldn't worry about fish right now. Agree with Kelli you probably wont need a heater I didn't on my 12 gal nano. What I would get next are some test kits. Salifert Ammonia, Nitrite, ph to start. Also might want to invest in a refractometer to keep track of salinity since hydrometers are notoriously incorrect. Definately dont get a damsel if you ever want another fish. Welcome to TRT! by the way. Great place to ask questions and learn alot. The tank looks great so far.
