Filter/Refuguim Question

I was looking at one of the sponsers sites and I saw refugirock. Im using a HOB with not filter media in it, its just for water flow only in my 10g.

My question: Can you put refugium or live rock in a HOB filter to get more bacteria and more filtration?

Thanks.

you sure can! on my 10 I have a AC 300 (hob filter) that I converted into a fuge if you go over to some of the other nano sights and do a serch for AC 300 fuge or AC 500 fuge you will find all kinds of stuff on people converting a normal HOB into a fuge

Does anyone know if you can turn the penguin hang on filter into a fuge?

BTW i am also running with no biowheel and no filter and doing fine with about 5 lbs. of live rock in a 3.5 gal.
