Fed Up With My 29 Bio Cube
My Bio Cube 29 Has Been Up And Running For Almost Two Months. It Will Not Stop Blowing Tons Of Micro Bubbles. I Add A Sapphire Nano Skimmer After A Few Weeks. There Are Tons Of Bubbles Whether The Skimmer Is Off Or On. I Have Turned The Skimmer Both Ways In The Rear Compartment- No Help. I Am Willing To Sell It At A Loss If I Cannot Get Any Help Here. I Hate The Piece Of *****! What Am I Going To Do?

where in the second compartment? my skimmer takes up the whole thing. when i take a flashlight and look into the third compartment i can see bubble passing right thru the final sponge.

weired, i've never heard of bubble problems with a bio cube, had mine for about a month and a half and no bubbles. no skimmer though, I'd try not skimming for a few days maybe? do you have any other power heads that maybe close to the surface and pulling in air? I was never really a big fan of skimmers.. live rock and water changes seem to suffice

try stuffing a nylon meadia bag on there. it will stop the bubbles. the sponges are to porus to stop all the micro bubbles.

www.nano-reef.com search their forumms and you can find people who have had the same problem and find out how to remedy it... don't give up, look on it as a learning expierience... if all else fails, just TAKE IT OUT... weekly water changes should take care of exccess organic buildup and make sure you feed sparingly.

Try getting rid of the sapphire skimmer. I modded my cube to fit a Tunze 9002 DOC skimmer. Works great and no bubbles. Here is a link to the build thread. The stuff for the biocube starts about half way through. http://thereeftank.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92569
