cycling a 2 gal tank

well got my 2.5 gallon cycling, with the 5lbs sand and 3 or so lbs liverock im just under 2 gallons water volume. i bought new sand, and 1.5lbs lr that was being cured. then added another 1.5-2 lbs lr rubble out of the sump of my main tank. would it be possible that theres enough bacteria in the rock to not really cycle?? or how long should it take for there to be some ammonia or nitrites present in the water??? should i drop a couple pieces of krill in there to jumpstart the cycle?

It might not cycle per se, but will still need some time to grow a bacteria population in the sand.

Give it a couple of more days and then test - you might see a small spike.
