Current solana 34 gallon cube
I've been looking for an all-in-one system to simplify the reef hobbby. With all the choices, I was glad to see variety, but still couldn't find a tank that I wanted to 'show' in the house. My wife has concerns with our current 29 gallon reef, that looks more like a science experiment, with ballasts on the floor, sump, and a bulky MH fixture above the tank.
I came across this new tank by current that seems to be a decent balance of reef hobby and stylish furniture, that might appeal to some of you also.
Has anyone had any experience with this, or any feedback? Below is a link to the website.

I saw one in a store for the first time last week. It looks really clean. As far as how good the filters, fixture, etc are put together, I didn't really take the time to "kick the tires." It does look really clean and well made though. I was impressed.

I have the new solana tank. I think out of all the ones out there this one has the best back chamber area. I didnt go with the disco ball light instead i got the current-usa sundial metal halide pendant. The top off bottles don't last to long so i did switch over to a ATO. Also the skimmer can be noisy as most are i did switch it out with a tunze nano skimmer. But overall i'm really liking the tank even though i don't have rock in it yet LOL. Its been set up for 3 months with water and sand heh.

awww, come on. That funky light fixture looked pretty tight to me I can see why a lot of ppl wouldn't go with that.

there are a few people on nano-reef.com that have threads going about their Solanas... check into those too. It sounds like a nice set-up, but the only bad thing that I've heard about it are that the ATO bottles they have in the back don't even last 12 hours etc... I also heard that in the spring of '08 Current will be releasing a re-designed version of the Solana... same looks, just minor tweaks to fix some of the problems with the filtration, ATO bottles, etc... good luck.

It is a really awsome tank but i would wait untill the spring when they relese the new version along with some night lighting options there coming out with. The current system is fine if you want to replace all the equipment. The skimmer deasent really fit right and vibrates like crazy and is loud as heck. THe top-off bottles last at max 1.5 days. The return well its not to bad but it does heat the wate a bit. Other than that though i love they tank

Exactly... I personally think that the Solana will be the best system out there for Nanos when they tweak some of their hardware. So far I'd say they have the most comprehensive bang for the buck... for $700 you get a 34gal. rimless cube that looks great, a nice stand, 150W MH HQI Pendant, ATO(even though it only lasts a little while), and a skimmer that works well(even if it is a little noisy... but what skimmer isn't?)... look at other tanks for the same price and you don't get nearly the same ammenities...
Red Sea Max... $800 for a tank and stand... tank has some nice ammenities like a built in timer, etc... but all you get is Power Compact lighting and a skimmer that isn't worth a turd floating in a bucket
Bio-Cube 29gal. $500 tank and stand... PC lighting, no skimmer... essentially a "bare-bones" All-In-One tank.
Nano-Cube, Aquapod, I could go on. Nothing compares to the Solana IMHO.
