Bubble algae: good or bad?

I recieved a xenia on some branchy rock and along with it came these little green balls. They look like balloons and are shiny. I was wondering if they are bad, they haven't begun to spread or anything but I am very cautious about them. . . well?

They arent bad....but just keep them from spreading. I have some( like 4 balls) on some of my rock, but it isnt spreading and coralline is growing over the bubble algae.

That and mine seem to disappear after a while. I am not sure if there isn't enough nutrients for them or my emerald crab eats them.
