would anyone recomend a Hydor Koralia Nano Powerhead for the 14 gallon biocube or do you even need one?

green stuff appears to be bubble algae (bad mostly) and the purple appears to be star polyps (mostly good... but they can get out of control)

Yes, get the green bubble algae out. Do your best to try not breaking the bubbles, or have a siphon tube running to suck them out when you do break them. It is a nuisance algae that you do not want to let get out of control in your tank.

I like your aquascape by the way, the cave looks good.

Ya I will do my best to get rid of that bubble algae thanks for the info. My tank is the 14 gallon biocube.
