Peyton, I have a 24g AquaPod and have had really good luck with a 6 line wrasse, fire fish, watchman goby, and yellow clown goby. I also have a pom pom crab and cleaner shrimp.
Good luck.

Tangs are a no go in a biocube...period...as has already been said. There is not enough swimming space...

I really like my 29 BC, just remember that in a tank that size you need to buy fish that will stay small. When I restock my tank I'm going to do all nano gobies (under 2") and a false perc. clown.

Also, there are some mods you can do on your tank that will make it run better for a reef set up. If you're interested, I'll post the mods I've done.

If you like the All-in-one tank and have the money. I LOVE the Red Sea Max tanks. Also, AquaPods are nice too...

I always like to use Live Aquaria as a resource when thinking about new fish. They actually have an entire section dedicated to what they call "nano fish"

Enjoy!

The BC29 is an awesome, well built tank. Especially the newer versions.

It is also a great size to deal with. It opens up quite a bit more options for fish.

There are also tons of mods to make this tank even greater. Hopefully I can remember all of them off the top of my head.

Skimmer
-Tunze 9002, Aqua C Remora, Octopus HB100, CPR BakPak, Sapphire Aquatics BC29. Pretty sure those are the ones worth mentioning. Lol
Lighting
-Retro fits - Metal Halide, LED, and more Power Compacts.
Retro fits keep the stock outside appearance intact.
-Going Topless – Removing the stock hood completely
The usual, more affordable, choice is going topless (removing the stock lid). Not only does this open your lighting options it can also really help with heat problems associated with having the hood. You also have a lot more options.
Filtration
-Throw away the stock cartridge filter.
Refugium - Running a "fuge" in the center chamber is a huge improvement f or the bio diversity in the BC29.
-Ditch the bioballs. If you are running them in the tank then take them out a few at a time with each water change every week until they are all removed.
-I would also remove the foam block in the 3rd chamber as it has great potential to become a nitrate factory.
-Replace the factory pump with a Maxi Jet 900.
-Add a power head or two. Or If you wanna throw down some real dough go with the Ecotech MP20. You wont regret that!
-Remove the drip tray and replace with eggcrate and use filter pad or floss on top for trapping debris.
-Think that’s about it.

I have a 29 biocube and I have 2 clowns, a very very small panther grouper, a manderin, dragon goby and a purple (cant recall the long name) fish with about 8 corals and a hard coral on in a stock system with a skimmer. THink its all about setups if ya ask Me..

I have also seen a stock biocube packed with hard corals..
