The recall affected early production of these units. Only 993 were affected, and only 9 problems were reported. Problems happened when users didn't plug in both lighting ballasts - user error.

Those of us selling these units were advised immediately. Personally I never received any units from the "bad batch" even though I ordered them last September. All units available now should be fine. They are also boxed up better - cardboard outer box, slick retail box inside, and lots of foam to protect the unit.

Current USA is a good company that stands behind their product. IMO one can buy with confidence.

Thanks for the info, Jenn. A couple months back we were going to raffle one off at a club meeting but the hoorah was just hitting the fan so we went with a different set up.

Nice to know that all is good now, they're pretty popular.
