Aquapod 24 Filter Media?


What kind of Filter Media do i put in there...

the example at the store had something back in the media containers, but i didn't know what it was or know enough to ask...

what do you recommend?

nothing needed as far as media. Just use live rock as your filter in your tank, as anything else will just cause nitrates

Okay here is what is in mine:
1 sponge to catch debri(change it out every 3 days) and a purigen bag(removes toxins love it). Ditch everything else. The purigen is better than carbon imo and I recharge it every 2 months. Replace every 6 months.

I use one sponge, ( clean it only once in a while) and chemi pure its good for 3 months or so. One other thing you might want to consider changeing pumps in the tank.

i use chemipure and filter floss in mine... i ditched the sponge...

Oh yeah and another thing you might like. The protien skimmer. If it is setup correctly it works great.
