Aqua Pod question

Hey, I'm looking at getting the 24 gallon aquapod w/ the 150w MH lighting. Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them. I really don't want to use a chiller, do you know how well the fan in the system works? Will the lights cook the aquarium without a chiller? and is there a cover between the light and the water or is it just open?

any feedback would be appreciated
thanks

I have a the 24g Aquapod but not the MH lights. I wish I had them..... Well anyways hehe there is not a cover over the tank, just a thin plactic cover over the lights in the hood (for mine).

I don't know for sure but I wouldn't think you would need a chiller. One of the best things about the setup is how easy it is without all the extra gadgets in my opinion.

But I love my tank So easy and growing beautifully!

Hi there
Bought a AP 24 w/ the 150W MH lighting. Might came with a glass top, it cover the front part of the tank (where the light is to avoid water/salt spraying onto the light) and leaves the filtration (back) part open. I am still in the process of setting it up but, I've been asking around and what I been told is that the Metal Halide lights should NOT be a problem w/ temperature. I'm going to keep mine in my room and it's pretty small. I've got a fan on the ceiling, but I am still worried about the lights heat. Trust me the MH lights get pretty hot!

I do think that if you added some kind of fan around the area where you place the tank it would help.

Good luck to both of us!
