Another 24G NanoCube question

Heres another mod question for the NanoCube 24DLX. Is there any way to mod this tank for a protein skimmer? I really hate the way the surface of the water looks in spite of doing weekly 5 gal water changes. I saw something on a website that supposedly works like a skimmer when atttached to a canister filter. Figured there might be a way to dremel the hood to make room for the hoses for a canister filter. Anyhow, here is the link to the item, look itover and let me know what you all think. Or even suggest a better idea.

Hi Masher,

How do like your NANO CUBE? Have you had any issues with it? What mods if any have you done? Sorry about the ?'s but I am thinking of getting the same one. Anyways check out this link http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/show...threadid=58149 . If your not a member i would strongly advise you to join. They have a forum that is dedicated to the Nano Cube. The skimmer that you are looking at is pretty big and will take up a lot of room in your cube.

Search on "cassette case mod" at various nano tank forums. It might even be over here at TRT or maybe at Reefcentral. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll find it for you. I think people used this mod on 12g, but the same or similar could be done for the 24 I'm sure.
