A new pico reef for you, 3 yrs old, 1 gallon vase

I wanted to show this to a few different sites to get some discussion going around bare-bones approaches to nano and pico reefing. I've been keeping vase reefs since 2000 and this has turned out to be the best design because it's the simplest. Mainly I wanted to point out it's about 39 months old and has no bad algae whatsoever, and about 20 genera of corals ranging from hydnophora to favites brain frags and acanthastrea

also I wanted to post this older video that's been on youtube for a while now, it shows a different vase reef that was also three years old at the time of filming, and a completely sealed .5 gallon sps reef that has a miniature stand and canopy and gives the illusion of a giant reef tank due to the particular size of the coral frags included in the design. hope you like it, there are no others!

Thats amazing, maybe someday Ill try to do something like that for the kitchen counter as my wife cant keep plants alive there, but loves having natural color in that spot lol

Two questions... what are you using for circulation? Is there a filter? or just live rock? What about lighting?
