96 watter on a 10 gal nano

Any reports on using these quad bulbs on sps tanks? I am buying a CSL 96 Watt Quad 20 inch fixture (less than a 100 bucks brand new too...like 96 bucks shipped). I am buying one for a 10 gal nano and wonder if anyone is getting any significant color loss since the sps frags will be coming from my main display tank which is a 44 gal tank with 2X250 Watt MH to a 10 gal 96 watt pcs. My softies seem fine under 55 watts in a 5.5 gal .

Ray I think you will find that some sps will work while other will loose their color.

Standard Acro type sps corals will probably be the ones loosing color and not doing so well.

Any type of Montipora seems to do OK under less than perfect lighting along w/ pocilopora and hydnopora.

If I get some time this weekend I have been meaning to put together a list of scientific names of the sps corals in my Nano that seem to be doing OK under Nano ligthing. This seems to be a hot topic.

go to nano-reef.com and youll find plenty of people using the 96w powerquad including myself, although i dont think most sps will do well under the powercompacts, but you might be able to keep say a most monti sps.
