3gal nano tank


i have a 3gal. tank with a 6watt flourescent bulb. Do you this would be fine for a bubble anemone?

It's going to take a lot of care to keep that small of a tank's water parameters (ph, nitrate , salinity , etc. ) in line. Most anemones that host will require very stable water conditions.

A 6 watt bulb ain't gonna cut it. I have kept condy 'nems under normal output flourescent lighting but I had more than 80 watts over a 20 gallon .

You might be able to keep some mushrooms or other lower-light corals. I tried a few palythoa in a 3 gallon seahorse tank with 12 watts but they didn't do well. The 'shrooms lived but never really grew.

I agree with the above,.. I would not try and keep an anemone in a tank like this, with that lighting - anyway,.. the BTA's are really cool,.. if your going to keep one, it would be nice to have it in a tank big enough for a couple clowns as well
