29 Gallon Biocube Media Baskets

Im curious to what everyone is using for their media basket for their Biocube/Nanocube.

I have been using Live rock and have a DIY Media Basket but thinking about purchasing a more durable one.

Give me some tips on what to get in the media basket.

Im going full on reef right now mainly LPS and Soft. Will eventually get SPS down the line (a year or so) when the tank is mature.

Any advice would be great!

I bought a media basket from intank and run fliter floss, purigen, and chemi pure elite. Seems to work pretty well in mine. No complaints what so ever. Fits perfectly in the 2nd chamber and is very durable. I have seen clearer water and better growth since adding it a few months ago.

Here is the site i got mine from.

Will the filter floss cause nitrates like bioballs? Thats what i was worried about. I live those intank media baskets ive thought about getting the combo with the media basket and ref.

I change out the floss once a week when I do my water change. Comes in a big sheet so you just cut it to the size of the basket. I've had it like 3 months and I just finished off 1 sheet of floss. I think the 3 pack was like 9 bucks, so like 1 dollar a month on floss changing it once a week.

I also highly recommend the In Tank media baskets. There is a good diagram on the site to demonstrate setup.
