Question

24g Nano-Cube

Started up my new tank about a month ago. After 3 weeks or so with nothing but LR and LS had a lot of green algee on the glass and back wall so added cleaning crew and a clown (for something to look at...this is in my office). Came in today after the long weekend and the tank is really clean. Now, almost all of the snails are on the glass up around the top of the tank. I've never seen them do that in my smaller tank at home. Anyone know if something is causing this? Nothing for them to eat? Water temp?

Otherwise, I like the way it's turning out. I'll post some pics when i can remember to bring in a camera. Tried the cell phone, but can't really see anything.

Thanks.

Were the lights on a timer or off all weekend? not sure if it matters with the algae or not just curious

Lights were on timer. about 12 hrs on/off.
Unfortunately I'm still in the office, and seems like some of them have come down from the top. Also, lost a starfish and crab. Probably added them too early?
I only have the water tested at the fish store, so can't really say what's going on there. Maybe I'll go have it tested and add another fish. Any suggestions to go with the clown? I started with a damsil at home, but it is so aggressive towards the other fish.

I would get the water tested but I wouldn't add anything until you figure out whats going on. Many inverts are sensitive to changes in salinity do you have an auto top off in place?

no auto top off, but there is hardly any evaporation from the cube. i do have a floating hydrometer which says everything ok, but i guess it's not very accurate.
