2.5G coming soon

I am thinking about doing a 2.5 gallon nano, its a small bowfront acrlyic tank that i found at good will, but what kind of lighting do i need to do for it? The tank is only 9in high, so with a good sandbed it will only be about 6-7 high. Would a standard floresant(sp?) bulb work? I was thinking it would just have some mixed corals maybe 8lbs of LR and a crab, snails and shrimp, maybe a fish... depending. I was thinking about drilling it and have a sump with a skimmer, but with a tank this small is it really needed? Filter wise, is there any media that can be used on the tank? I have a pegiun bio wheel mini that i was going to use but i dont want to hurt the corals?

Just need some good input before getting this thing started.

thanks

I have the same tank, and i just got the 50\50 flouresent bulb. I cant remember the wattage, but on a tank this size, you cant need to much.

Good luck!

so

A regular bulb from walmart/homedepot will work? And i wont need to use the filter? What about movement? How much is too much, i was thinking about a little water pump, I saw one thats adjustible up to like 150gph i was going to drill 2 holes and have a split line going to them so there is like a whirlpool king of thing going on. oh and what kind of paint do you have to use to paint the back of it? Anykind or is there a special kind?
