12G Nanocube Delux pump failure

I will admit to not being as thorough as I should have been with cleaning my pump on my 12G nanocube delux. Go figure, today when the lights turned on the fish looked near death due to no water movement. Thank goodness for airstones... everything is okay now. I took out the pump and cleaned it thoroughly, not working very well. Maybe a blessing in disguise. The current pump is supposed to be 106GPH, any suggestions on if I should try a higher GPH pump? Any suggestions on a type that will fit?

I think maxi- jets fit - I know I crammed a pretty good size pump in my 24g when the stock pump went out

I would -
I can't remember what pump I bought but it was adjustable and a much higher flow than the stock one for my 24g - I got it at petsmart
