12g jbj nano cube upgrade help to 32w retro

Hello everyone,

I have the smartlite 32w retrofit kit, I need some help installing it. First I was thinking that I would leave the ballast in my stand and not try and put into the canopy, is this a good idea? I was also hoping somebody that is firmiliar with this tank could tell me how to wire this and still use the 2 fans that are in it. The fans have there own little harness that plug into a board of sorts and runs to what looks like a copper spool. I have no wiring exp, I was thinking this was going to be easy. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Jim

I guess my last resort would be to just leave all the original stuff in the hood and electrical tape the bulb wires and run it that way. If I did that though I would have another electrical cord to deal with? There isnt much wires to the retrofit kit and most of them could be on the outside of the canopy. Would rather not do that.
