Would love to get a clam but...

I really would love to add a clam to my tank (see specs below). I am not sure however where to start or if my equipment is adequate enough. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm certainly not an authority but I don't think 36W PC is ideal for even the lower light clams. How long has your tank been setup? You may also want to add a skimmer to help with water quality.

as long as the tempature is around 80 to 82 and dosnt flux much i dont think tempature would be an issue all i have to say is that if you want to keep a clam under pc u probaly will be dishing out enough for a halide any way so just get a 70 watt halide for that 18 tall and you should be good to go
btw welcome to trt instinctive84

Make sure your water quallity is good. Clams are very sensitive. The more light the happier they are. If your clam is over 3 inches feeding once a week is ok if smaller then you will have to feed more often. Good luck
