white spots


mY squamosa clam is starting to get white spots on the mantle they are not getting any bigger and there is still flesh there but all the colour is gone help how to fix if this is bad this is one of my centerpiece specimens


HELP!!!

What type lights do you have? How close to them is he? How big is he? What do you feed him?

yes it looks like the pic above I am running 2x 400 watt 20k he is on the substrate and he is about 8" in length and I feed phyto once in a while (about 2-3 times every 2 weeks)

something is stressing him heat maybe watch your temp and keep it stable keep up with your water changes also not alot is know about what causes this bleaching I recommend Giant Clams by Daniel Knop good reading on clams.
